The hands behind the colors

Camila MA, artist behind Colors by Mila

Hello, I'm Camila.

I'm a Brazilian artist, and I paint mostly in watercolor and soft pastel. These two mediums let me work with transparency, softness and texture, and I love how each one brings its own personality to a painting.

My work is inspired by nature, coastal landscapes, flowers, animals, travel and the beauty of everyday life: a starfish resting on the sand, an orchid in bloom, a door covered in bougainvillea.

I believe art brings emotion, beauty, tranquility and personality into our spaces. When one of my paintings finds a place in your home, I hope it brings you a little of that calm and color.

What Inspires Me

The beauty and colors of nature are my greatest inspiration. From the endless shades of the ocean to the delicate colors of flowers, the charm of animals, and the landscapes I discover through travel, nature is always at the heart of my art.

I love finding beauty in simple moments and bringing those feelings to life through color, light, and softness.

Philosophy

My Artistic Philosophy

I believe art is more than decoration. It is a way to bring emotion, beauty, and personality into the spaces we call home.

Through watercolor and soft pastel, I hope to create paintings that inspire serenity, joy, and a connection with nature. Each piece is an invitation to slow down and appreciate the little things that make life beautiful.

My Journey

My Artistic Journey

My love for painting began in childhood, when my great-aunt introduced me to painting on fabric. From those early moments, art has always been part of my life, evolving with me through different stages and creative discoveries.

Over the years, I explored oil painting and decorative painting on wood, always finding joy in creating something with my own hands.

In 2020, I discovered watercolor, which opened up a new world of artistic expression. More recently, I also began exploring soft pastels, adding another dimension to my creative journey.

What began as a childhood passion and remained a beloved hobby for many years has now become something more: a dream of sharing my art with people around the world, creating paintings that bring beauty, warmth, and happiness into their homes.

That dream is what inspired Colors by Mila.
